Shantha was a house wife staying in the first floor of Vision centre Andipatti, her husband was a businessman .She had complaints of redness and itching in her eyes .As she was staying just on the top floor of the vision centre, she decided to get treatment in the centre itself . Shantha had thought about taking treatment. Therefore she registered her name, and a Case sheet was put, vision and refraction testing was done in the Vision centre.Shanthas complaints were recorded and she was asked to speak with the doctor through teleconnection .Shantha was prescribed spectacles and a few medication drops were given. Her complaints were over now.

She said that the doctors tele consultation proved to be very effective and helped to clarify her queries. She was comfortable wearing the spectacles prescribed to her and was happy that the spectacles were supplied in the vision centre itself and she need not travel all the way to Theni to collect the spectacles ,but she suggested that it would be beneficial for people if glasses were offered on the same day. She revealed that she would have not gone gone for an eye checkup if the vision centre did not exist in Andipatti.

Shantha said people coming to the Vision centre, Andipatti, came with a preconceived idea of seeing the doctor but are convinced by the treatment services offered and the tele consultation offered by the doctor. She proudly remarked that she herself had explained people on the services of the vision centre even for those who feel the absence of the doctor.Shanthas husband was also able to check his BP and blood sugar level sugar in the centre itself just by paying Rs 25. Shantha also brought her 15 year old son to the vision centre who had problems of refractive error. Her son was prescribed glasses and was asked to come to the base hospital as he was in need of the glasses immediately.
