Experiments:
The experimental method is a method of science. It seeks the truth or falsity of a premises of assumption,
to provide additional information to support or disapprove prior understanding, or to provide concrete evidence to
clarify abstract concepts. It provides opportunity to observe with all of the senses, to manipulate instruments
and materials, to enables understanding of scientific methods, to crystallize understanding as general and particular
experience are correlated, to use discrimination, to consolidate learning, and to follow directions.
Advantages:
- Provide mental as well as physical activity.
- Strengthen understanding.
- Provide motivation.
- Develop skill.
Limitations:
- Facilities are not always at hand.
- Involved expenditure. Should be used concurrently with other method to enrich the total methodology of education.
