In the service sector especially for the hospital industry employees are the most important assets to delivering the care. Managing people becomes one of the central functions in ensuring successful running of the hospital well. Hence this issue of Site news is devoted to science and art of managing people which comes within the domain of HR.
The Sitenews goes into each of the HR practices as well as how to get the best out of the employees we have. In the HR practices section several key HR practices are touched upon in great detail. In Human Resource planning the focus is on eye care starting with the need and the different kind of human resources required for eye care in different regions of the world. Recruitment and more importantly selection focuses on how you can do this in the best way possible to ensure the right person enters your organization. A Job description provides an overview not only to how to develop a job description but also provides sample job descriptions of variety of personnel in eye care. Training is another important area as well as ensuring regular feedback goes to the employees as well as managing performance.
The next section focuses on ideas for how to get the best out of your employees. This includes boosting employee morale, fostering teamwork, increasing retention, improving employee satisfaction as well as leadership styles to be used.
